Smartphone maker Vivo on Tuesday stated it’ll launch a software program replace this month to allow its 5G-enabled handsets to work with each standalone and non-standalone 5G networks.

Standalone 5G networks transmit solely 5G indicators, whereas indicators that blend 4G and 5G networks are known as non-standalone 5G networks.

Currently, Reliance Jio presents standalone 5G community whereas Bharti Airtel presents non-standalone 5G community.

Vivo has launched 30 smartphones for 5G providers, that are suitable with non-standalone 5G networks.

“More than six of our smartphones are supporting 5G SA (standalone) networks. Most of our smartphones are suitable with NSA (Non-Standalone Network). We will launch a software program replace this month, which is able to make most of our smartphones 5G SA suitable as nicely.

According to IDC, Vivo is the third largest smartphone vendor in India.
