Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday paid tributes to former prime minister and BJP veteran Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his delivery anniversary, describing him as a “man of the people”.
Born in Gwalior in 1924, Vajpayee was the face of the BJP for many years.
“One of the greatest Indian leaders, Atalji was an eminent parliamentarian, an able administrator, a prolific writer, a mesmerizing orator and above all a great human being,” the Vice President’s Secretariat tweeted, quoting Naidu.
