Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was seen whipping as a part of a ritual throughout Govardhan Puja in Durg on Friday.

In a video that has gone viral, Baghel, wearing a turban and conventional apparel, is seen standing with one in all his arms outstretched as if a person is whipping him. Crowds of individuals are seen round him and clicking photos of the Chief Minister. Along with the beat of the dhol, loud music can be heard enjoying within the background.
After eight rounds of whipping, the whipping man lastly stops and hugs the chief minister.
Govardhan Puja is well known a day after the Diwali competition, marked by Lord Krishna lifting the Govardhan hill to save lots of the residents of Braj from the wrath of Lord Indra.
Union ministers together with Amit Shah and Mansukh Mandaviya greeted the individuals on the event of Govardhan Puja. He stated, ‘Wishing everybody a really completely happy ‘Govardhan Puja’. Long reside Shri Krishna!” Shah tweeted.
