England quick bowler Kate Cross is not sure about any staff stopping Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians within the ongoing inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL).

The 31-year-old stated, “Mumbai has been absolutely formidable. He looks perfect in every single department. He dropped a few catches early on and all you can say about tonight was that he was not perfect. They have been a great team to watch. Who will catch them? I’m not quite sure…”

“I can not even think about how happy Harmanpreet should be feeling proper now, as a result of she has been good. The tone was set with how he bowled, how Wong bowled, and the way Ishaq bowled. He simply had the plan and executed it, that is all you’ll be able to say as a captain. He managed to select up wickets, which was a bonus on prime of executing the plan,” he stated.

The all-rounder made the remarks after Mumbai Indians asserted their supremacy by beating Delhi Capitals within the top-of-the-table conflict.

Sayka Ishaq, Isabelle Wong and Hayley Mathews, who took three wickets every, led Mumbai Indians to bundle out Delhi Capitals for simply 105 runs in 18 overs with the ball.

Chasing a small goal, Mumbai registered their third consecutive win in 15 overs with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (11 not out) and Nate Sciver-Brunt (23 not out) taking them throughout the end line.

Chasing 106, the opening pair of Yastika Bhatia (41) and Hayley Mathews (32) placed on a 47-run stand within the powerplay and stitched a 65-run first-wicket partnership to make sure a giant win for his or her staff. For Delhi, it was their first defeat of the inaugural season.
