Dharmendra on Tuesday remembered the late director and good friend Dulal Guha. The actor shared an outdated image on Instagram by which a younger Dharmendra interacts together with his director and co-star Tanuja. Tagging Dulal Guha as his brother and a “talented director”, Dharmendra recalled that the trio virtually bought concerned in filmmaking.
“Me Tanu and Dulal da were always a happy company. One day, all of a sudden we planned a film production together… while deciding the name of our company… we thought… D for Dulal Da…. D for Dharmendra and T for Tanuja…..So beautifully written name…… turned out…..(DDT product)….then suddenly we realized…(DDT is something to kill the germs) So we laughed and laughed And the idea of filmmaking stopped,” he wrote, ending the caption with love for his followers.
Dulal Guha was a well-known filmmaker of Hindi cinema. In the 60-70s, he acted in a number of movies which turned blockbusters. Mere Humsafar (1970), Dushman (1972), Dost (1974), Pratigya (1975) and Do Anjaane (1976) have been amongst his standard movies. In truth, it was Dulal Guha’s pledge that gave Dharmendra the picture of ‘Garam-Dharma’.
Last week, the 85-year-old shared a video of his first automobile, which he referred to as “God’s great blessing to a struggling man”. On the work entrance, Dharmendra has his 2nd and Rocky and Rani’s love story. In his 2nd, he’ll collaborate together with his sons Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol. The movie, directed by Anil Sharma, will even star Dharmendra’s grandson Karan Deol, who made his debut with Sunny’s directorial Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas.
In Karan Johar’s directorial enterprise Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Dharmendra will share the display screen area together with his Guddi co-star Jaya Bachchan.
