Marvel boss Kevin Feige has revealed why the makers determined to not reprise T’Challa aka Black Panther in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In a latest interview, Feige stated it was ‘too quickly’ to reprise the function of Chadwick Boseman because the world was nonetheless mourning his loss.

“It felt like it was too soon to start over again. Stan Lee always said that Marvel represents the world outside your window. And we talked about how, as extraordinary and fictional as our characters and stories are. There’s a relatable and human element to everything we do. The world is still processing the loss of Chad. And Ryan put him in the story,” Feige advised Empire.

Kevin Feige stated Black Panther filmmaker Ryan Coogler needed to honor Chadwick Boseman’s legacy by main the franchise in an genuine means.

“The conversation was totally, yeah, ‘What do we do next? And Chadwick’s legacy — and what he had done to help Wakanda and Black Panther, how can he continue these incredible, aspirational, iconic ideas ?’ That was everything,” Feige stated.

Chadwick Boseman handed away on August 28, 2020, after a silent battle with most cancers. Her final movie was the acclaimed Netflix function Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.

Helmed by Ryan Coogler of Creed and Black Panther fame, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman, Tenoch Huerta and Dominic Thorne.

The movie will launch within the US on November 11.
