India’s ODI vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah on Monday stated that he can be able to take up the function of captain if given the duty.
“It will be an honor if given a chance, I don’t think any player will say no,” he stated.
On Virat stepping down as captain, Bumrah stated, “It is his decision. He knows his body. He knows his frame of mind. We respect that. It is a pleasure for me to play under his captaincy.” I made my debut below his management.”
Virat Kohli had resigned from the captaincy of the Test match on Saturday. “Everything has to come to a halt at some stage and for me as India’s Test captain, it is now. There have been many ups and downs in the journey, but there has never been a lack of effort or faith,” Kohli wrote in a press release which he posted on Twitter, which took everybody abruptly. He had requested his colleagues and assist workers to maintain the information to himself.
Virat Kohli has led India in 68 matches and has been essentially the most profitable captain with 40 wins. Virat Kohli was appointed Test captain in 2014 when MS Dhoni stepped down in the course of the collection in opposition to Australia.
