Willing to do it if given the duty: Bumrah on captaincy

India’s ODI vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah on Monday stated that he can be able to take up the function of captain if given the duty.

“It will be an honor if given a chance, I don’t think any player will say no,” he stated.

On Virat stepping down as captain, Bumrah stated, “It is his decision. He knows his body. He knows his frame of mind. We respect that. It is a pleasure for me to play under his captaincy.” I made my debut below his management.”

Virat Kohli had resigned from the captaincy of the Test match on Saturday. “Everything has to come to a halt at some stage and for me as India’s Test captain, it is now. He had requested his colleagues and assist workers to maintain the information to himself.
