After Ponniyin Selvan 1 and Kantara, Yashoda joins the listing of South movies which have gained abroad audiences – particularly within the US. This is a big achievement for Samantha and the movie, which faces competitors in India from Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Meanwhile, critics are divided of their opinion about Yashoda. While the movie has been praised for its tight script and twists, it is usually being criticized for its poor execution. Manoj Kumar of The Indian Express gave the movie two stars and wrote, “Samantha Ruth Prabhu brings grace to the position. But, the movie’s indiscriminate grindhouse therapy negates the influence of Samantha’s efficiency, which has quite a lot of credence. ,
Starring Samantha within the lead position, Yashoda is directed by director duo Hari-Harish, and in addition stars Unni Mukundan, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Rao Ramesh and Murali Sharma. It has music by Mani Sharma.
