Suryakumar Yadav hit a blistering 26-ball 68 on Wednesday night as India beat Hong Kong by 40 runs to enter the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2022.
Suryakumar’s breathtaking innings took India to a aggressive 192/2. His flamboyant knock helped him beat Virat Kohli’s fluent half-century after Hong Kong bowled first.
His effort left Virat Kohli in awe as the previous India captain bowed to Suryakumar after the innings ended. Kohli’s response has since gone viral on social media platforms, with followers loving the mixed effort of each the batsmen.
Reacting to Kohli’s response, an apparently excited Yadav stated, “It was a heartwarming gesture from Virat Kohli but I was wondering why he was not going ahead and then when I realized When it happened, I asked him to accompany me. He is more experienced than me.”

Analyzing the floor, the right-hander stated, “The wicket was a bit slow but Virat said to express himself and that helped me play my aggressive shots,” Yadav stated.
“Some of my (shots) are predetermined, the format is about what you think and how you prepare before going out to bat. Also you have to live in the present. I thought the wicket was a bit slow,” he defined.
“My plan was clear. My function was to go in and choose up the tempo and simply specific myself, I simply cherished it. (adapting to totally different positions) You must be versatile, you need to be able to bat at any quantity and I’ve opened as effectively. I’ve batted in any respect numbers. I actually loved it,” he concluded.
