US Open champion Emma Radukanu examined optimistic for COVID-19 and was dominated out of an exhibition match within the United Arab Emirates on Monday.
Announcing Radukanu’s return, organizers of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship mentioned the British teenager is in isolation and following protocol.
Radukanu’s substitute is being sought to fill in and play for Belinda Bencic in Abu Dhabi.

Radukanu gained the US Open in September and have become the primary qualifier to assert a Grand Slam singles title. Ranked simply 150 on the time and successful 10 straight matches in straight units, she grew to become the youngest feminine winner of a significant championship on the age of 18, as Maria Sharapova was 17 at Wimbledon in 2004.
Radukanu was lately named WTA Newcomer of the Year.
“After testing positive for COVID-19, I have to postpone until the next opportunity to play here in front of the fans, which I have been waiting for so long,” Radukanu mentioned. Organizer “I am in isolation as per the rules and hope to be back on court soon.”
