The Indo Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) on Saturday introduced that it’ll title the Dhannipur mosque complicated in Ayodhya after freedom fighter Ahmadullah Shah Faizabadi, who fought towards the British within the revolt of 1857.

The IICF is constructing a mosque, 200-bed hospital, group kitchen and a museum at Dhannipur village in Ayodhya district as per the apex court docket’s order.

Speaking on the choice, IICF spokesperson and secretary Athar Hussain stated that the choice was taken as Shah is a neighborhood hero and is remembered for his contribution in uniting completely different sections of the society. Hussain stated, “In the revolt of 1857, he worked to assimilate all religions and is respected by the local people.”

He stated that the British might by no means seize Shah alive and needed to declare a reward of fifty,000 items of silver for his seize.

“It was the Raja of Pavayan (in Shahjahanpur district), Jagannath Singh, who killed Shah, beheaded him and handed over his head to the British, for which Jagannath was rewarded. The subsequent day, his head hanged on the Kotwali. was given,” Hussain stated.
