The Congress on Saturday apologized to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and requested him to withdraw his “clean chit” to China, citing a Pentagon report that claimed nobody has entered Indian territory. That China has entered Arunachal Pradesh in 4.5 km.

Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera mentioned that the Prime Minister ought to reply and provides a time-frame as to when will the established order be on all our borders with China by April 2020.

The demand got here after Congress cited the Pentagon report.

Khera mentioned the Pentagon in its annual report back to the US Congress has confirmed Chinese incursions. The villages throughout the border are of twin use with not solely the civilian inhabitants but in addition serving as cantonments for the Chinese navy.

He mentioned that in June 2020, Tapir Gao, the BJP MP in Arunachal Pradesh, wrote to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister, warning them in regards to the encroachments by China into Indian territory.

Khera mentioned it has been 17 months because the prime minister and the house minister denied the violations and that Modi gave a “clean chit” to China.

“That clean chit is a dark chapter in our history as it was used by China across the world. Not only in Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh but also in Uttarakhand, where the PLA entered and destroyed our infrastructure, China was buoyed by this clean chit,” he informed reporters.

“This is a really critical subject. The Prime Minister ought to withdraw his clear chit given to China and provides a time-frame to the nation and inform when the established order of April 2020 is restored on all our borders with China, Be it Depsang, Gogra Hot Springs, Daulat Beg Oldi or Arunachal Pradesh,” he mentioned.

“We need answers, we need deadlines, we need dates and we need apologies for misleading the world that China has not entered our territory,” Khera mentioned. Indian and Chinese troops have been in a face-off in japanese Ladakh since April 2020 and even entered right into a bloody battle wherein a number of troopers had been killed.
