Punjab authorities releases Rs 40 crore grant for infrastructure growth of faculties

The Punjab School Education Department, run by School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla, on Monday launched a grant of Rs 40.26 crore, which shall be used for the event of faculty infrastructure within the state.

According to a spokesperson of the Education Department, this grant has been launched for the 12 months 2021-22 and shall be used for the event of major and secondary authorities colleges in Punjab.

The grant shall be used for rehabilitation of faculty tools, buy of sports activities and different tools, growing laboratories, electrical energy, web companies, water provide and educating aids. In addition, the cash can be utilized by colleges for the upkeep of their buildings, bathrooms or for strengthening the infrastructure of the constructing.

A spokesperson of the schooling division stated that for Amritsar district Rs 331.50 lakh, Barnala Rs 70.15 lakh, Bathinda Rs 171.31 lakh, Faridkot Rs 104.10 lakh, Fatehgarh Sahib Rs 113.65 lakh, Fatehgarh Sahib Rs 113.65 lakh Has been issued Rs. 192.95 lakh for Fazilka, Rs. 193.10 lakh for Firozpur. 265.50 lakh for Gurdaspur, Rs. 224.05 lakh for Hoshiarpur. 269.50 lakh for Jalandhar. 135.90 lakh for Kapurthala. 350.70 lakh for Ludhiana, Rs. 122.15 lakh for Mansa. 137.70 Lakh for Moga, 153.90 Lakh for Mohali, Rs. 139.30 lac for Muktsar, 107.85 lac for SBN, 86.65 lac for Pathankot, Rs. 280.85 lakh for Patiala, 130.85 lakh for Rupnagar, 222.65 lakh for Sangrur and Rs 189.75 lakh for Tarn Taran district.

According to the spokesperson, directions have been issued to make sure the usage of these grants with full transparency.
